Wedding in Hope

Things have been busy.... very busy. Every moment feels like it has been filled. This past weekend we had some friends stay over for a few days and then we went to Hope for a wedding, in which Steve was in the wedding party. It was a wonderful weekend getaway and so special for our family. We took the ferry over on Friday and spent some much needed time in Ikea and then headed to Camp Hope. We stayed in the giant Conference center. We had  a room with a queen bed, 2 singles and a full bathroom. The weather was perfect and we played outside a lot! Such a peaceful little retreat and had so many great friends there from Calgary. The girls had a lot of fun running around outside and exploring. The night before the wedding nothing was set-up so we stayed up super late setting everything up. Steve was putting up blinds on 6 windows on a 50 foot wall at midnight. And I was sewing on tool on the chairs in the center aisle. But it sure turned out beautifully and the weather was perfect for the big day!!! Anthony has been a big part of Steve's life and is such a good friend, so we were so happy to be a part of his big day marrying his beautiful Susan. We wish them all the Best!!
This weekend we are in the Home and Garden Expo in Duncan. Adessa and I helped Steve set up his booth today and she was such a big helper! There has been a lot of time and prayer put into this weekend, so I will let you know how it goes!

A little recent history

I had these pictures on my blog, put were unpublished, so thought I better get them on here!
Our last night together was my dads birthday so we got a sitter and took them out golfing in Chemainus (Steve did AMAZING!) and then out to the Page Point Bistro (thanks Dealfind!). It was such a wonderful experience and finally the sunshine and warmth came out... typical the day my parents leave is the day the rain stops and the warmth comes out!

Background looks fake, but it wasn't!

Gorgeous Harbor, across from Ladysmith

On our last morning together we went for a hike up to Crofton lake and took a little detour to find "Green Lake" it was a fun adventure!
My mother the hiker... shes happiest in the woods, and that is why she needs to move here! And her lasting legacy she has left with us "Caroo-koo-koo-koo-koo-koo-koo!!!" The girls use this call every time we hike!!

Wonderful Grandma coloring Easter Eggs with the girls!

My parents left the day before Easter, but we had to get to church early to help with Kidsland and then to help out with the Annual Crofton Easter Egg Hunt

 Collecting Easter Eggs
They had WAY too much fun on the bouncy castle, I think they went on the obstacle course 100times each!

Victoria with the Parents

We started the trip out with a visit to Beacon Hill Park, as my parents have never been. It was a beautiful day and there were lots of baby goats. The girls had so much fun chasing them around trying to brush them.
Goats were nibbling all over Danika, one was trying out her hair, she was pretty disgusted and wouldn't go to sleep that night without us washing it first!
We've been to Beacon Hill a few times but haven't walked down to the beach... this is what it looked like, it was so calm and the perfect spot to sit and eat snacks!
My beautiful mother... so blessed by this lady!
My mom and dad, thanks for spending your vacation time with us... it means so much to us!

I LOVE this picture... they got these shades out of a treasure box and were pretending they were secret spies!

Eating at Red Fish, Blue Fish (or maybe it's Blue fish, Red fish!) Neat little seafood place on the Victoria Wharf- we ate some yummy fish tacos and some fish and chips.
