Camp Imadene Open House

Last weekend we went to the Open House at camp Imadene. It turned out to be a gorgeous day and we had tons of fun in the sun!
Amara who is now motoring along kept me on my toes the entire day, as she was off exploring the woods without looking back!
Steve having a little too much fun!

Amara wandering off without even looking back once!
We had lots of fun kayaking and canoeing on the lake. It was gorgeous! Danika took out her own kayak and did so amazing! She was all over the lake!
Over 600 people made it out to the open house. It was an all day event with a big lunch served, and everything opened up. And we personally know the guy who made it all happen! 😉
It is an amazing little camp in the most ideal location. We just love it there!
Sharon sent me a few pictures she took... I was trying to take the girls out on this row boat... a lady warned me it was hard, but we tried it anywhere, and I couldn't move it... so we bailed and got into the kayaks instead!
My lovely Sharon. It is her hubby was has worked so hard to make this camp so beautiful! She is one proud lady and should be!!!

Meagan's Graduation

Our lovely Meagan graduated from high school! Thankfully she is sticking around home this next year and going to college at the VIU campus in Duncan.
For her prom night she asked Steve to stop by and take some family photos. Here were a few of my favourites.

I couldn't pick my favourite! The girls change poses in every photo!

Special bond between these 2.

The Anderson's have become a very special family to us and have always been so helpful and supportive with our girls, which makes life a bit easier when there are no grandparents around to help. They are going through a challenging time as a family and we hope we can be as helpful and supportive to them as they have been for us.
We love you Meagan and wish you all the best as you take your next steps out of high school.... There will always be three little girls who love you dearly!

Fathers Day

Super low key day, went to church, hung around the house while the girls gave daddy spa treatments and then went for a hike up to the lake.
Since she has discovered walking she hasn't wanted to stand still!

Steve wouldn't be so happy if he knew I put these photos on. But I couldn't resist! He really didn't want too... But the girls finally convinced him and he got a facial and a foot and hand massage. Such a great daddy... Welcome to a home full of girls!

Lovely Thursday

The girls and I packed up a picnic this morning and headed to Osborne bay aka the dog park. We go down there so often and there is hardly ever anyone there it feels like our own personal beach. The girls have found another little tree fort and could play in it for hours. It's a little bakery with Danika of course being the baker and Adessa the server!
Days like this morning I want to cherish forever. The weather was perfect and after our picnic we just played in the gross mud (tide was soooo far out) and I just didn't care that we were all mud monsters!
My precious girls
Amara eating half her picnic lunch, a bit to the dog, a bit dipped in sand and seaweed
The girls went clam digging as halfway through our time, and Asian family came to the beach with buckets and shovels and went digging for clams. The girls ran around, waited for squirting water and then dug quickly to get out the clam. They loved it! Amara just walked around the muck, falling in every 10 feet or so because her feet would get stuck. The poor girl had cuts on her knees, shins and feet from the barnacles, but that still didn't stop her!
The girls running back after giving the Asian family their largest clams they found
This tiny peanut walked up the entire path from the beach! I was amazed! She just kept going, so very proud of herself. She truly is happiest when she is outdoors doing her own thing.
My favourite things!
Amara running away and Adessa trying to catch her! The usual around these parts!

SPA-AAAH Party!

Today we had Danika's 8th birthday party... a spa birthday. She invited 6 of her little friends and the fun began! I found a little party created on Pinterest and used their ideas. You can find that here. She had her own printables and little edible nail polish bottles that Danika and I made last night.
When the girls arrived they went through the pancake bar and decorated their pancakes with whipped cream, sprinkles and they were *supposed* to grab fruit. Danika didn't want a birthday cake (as the party was from 9-11am) so we sang her happy birthday with her pancake.
After pancakes the girls decorated flip flops that I picked up at walmart for 2$ a pair. They were super fun and the girls loved them... but I didn't get a picture of them!
They then took turns soaking their feet in the bath (with rose petals) and rotated getting their toes painted or tattoos put on their arms. Once they came out we applied our mud masks and cucumbers. They loved this! We couldn't have done the party without Meagan... she painted all the girls nails, and with gel nail polish too! AND it was her grade 12 grad today!!! She is amazing!!!
Steve was putting on tattoos for the girls and trying to wrangle down Amara... she was the trickiest part about the party.

The girls had such a blast together and thought "it was the best party ever!" Happy Birthday my sweet 8 year old Danika!!! I had so much fun doing this with all your little friends!

Preschool Graduation

My second baby girl has graduated preschool! So crazy! Adessa Mattie... you are such a fun loving little girl who truly lives life to the fullest. We are so proud of you and can't wait to see what God has in store for your little life!

New beautiful outfit from Auntie Dolores and Uncle Gary! And you have been requesting the braid crown for WEEKS!
You were pretty terrified standing in front of everyone. You had been singing the songs loudly at home for a few weeks, but had some serious stage fright in front of all those people!

Danika missed the morning from school to watch you graduate, and Lize and Danika took Amara walking to keep her quiet!

Meagan came along to watch you graduate! Such a wonderful girl!

Mommy's little girl!
A few from the past few nights...
My long necklace broke, so I went onto Etsy and made a new long necklace for my birthday. It has the girls three birthstones. I love it!
A bunch of ladies planned a get together for my birthday Monday night at Original Joes. We sat out on the patio all evening and had such a wonderful time!

Steve's birthday I took him out to Genoa bay- it will always be our favorite spot.We enjoyed such a wonderful, quiet evening together, with delicious food!

We had three showings this week, and we also checked out another home. Two of the three people who looked this week loved the house and wanted to make offers but both have to sell their homes first. On on salt spring and the other from Nanaimo. So here's hoping! But we haven't found anything for us to move into yet, so all in His timing!

During one of our showings in the evening we walked down to the river- fun photo time!

This girl has been walking all over the place this week! But I can't say she is officially walking, because she still gets down and crawls when she wants to go quickly!

Steve went out fishing one morning with some buddies and caught a 17 lb salmon.

She loves the strollers and her Dolly's it is very cute!
